Dillard Services for Mr. Hoyt C. Dillard, 79, was held at 2 p.m., Thursday, March 29, in the Rose-Neath Mansfield Chapel. Officiating will be Dr. William Crosby, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Mansfield, where Mr. Dillard was a member. Interment followed in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Mr. Dillard died Tuesday, March 27, at Schumpert Medical Center in Shreveport, following a lengthy illness. He was born in Sabine Parish, and resided in Mansfield for the past 33 years. Mr. Dillard was a service station owner/operator for many years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Wade R. Dillard of Mansfield; two sons, Harold G. Dillard of Pleasant Hill, and Wendell H. Dillard of the Woodlands, Texas; one daughter, Peggy Dillard Weldon of the Woodlands, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Simpson of Mansfield; six grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Bobby Dillard, Alan Dillard, Johnson Dillard, Sonny Dillard, Bob Bufkin, and Carl Reese. The family requests that memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Mansfield.
