All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************************************************** ************************************************************ Mr. Sanford (Sandy) Dean Funeral services for Sanford (Sandy) Dean, 72, were held Thursday, Aug. 3, at 3 p.m., at First Baptist Church of Zwolle, with interment following at Zwolle Cemetery. The Rev. Vernon Stephenson officiated. Sandy was born January, 1928, to Doc and Lillie Dean. He attended school in Zwolle, and joined the Air Force in 1952. After serving in the military for 16 years, he worked for Armco Steel in Houston, Texas, and retired after 15 years. He also served five years in the United States Navy (1945-50). Survivors include one daughter, Sandra Jo Perez and husband Mario of Houston, Texas; one son, Larry Dean and wife Pam of Tennessee Colony, Texas; four grandchildren; and one brother, Jack Dean and wife Lucille of Robeline. He is preceded in death by his father, mother, and one brother.
