Lonnie Downs

  Funeral services were held for Lonnie Downs of Zwolle, at St.
Joseph's Catholic Church of Zwolle, on Friday, Aug. 22, at 10
a.m. Father Patrick A. Scully officiated. Burial followed in the
church cemetery, under the direction of the Warren Meadows
Funeral Home.

  Mr. Downs died at 4 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 20, in the DeSoto
General Hospital in Mansfield. He was 54.

  Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Francis Downs of Zwolle; his
mother, Artie L. Downs of Zwolle; three daughters, Deborah
Henderson, and Shirley Meshell, both of Zwolle, and Brenda
Covington of Shreveport; one brother, Homer Edward Downs of
Shreveport; two half sisters, Emma McDonald of Zwolle, and Gladys
Castie of Shreveport; and four grandchildren.
