Mrs. Artie Downs

  Funeral services for Mrs. Artie Downs will be held in the
Aimwell Baptist Church on Friday, Oct. 9, at 2 p.m. The Rev. E.
E. Walker will officiate. Burial will follow in the Aimwell
Cemetery, under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mrs. Downs died in Fraser Hospital North at 2:10 a.m.,
Wednesday, Oct. 7. She was 87.

  Survivors include two sons, Homer E. Downs of Shreveport, and B.
E. Downs of Sparta, Wisc.; two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Castie of
Shreveport, and Emma McDonald of Zwolle; one sister, Emma Bass of
Many; four brothers, Robert Lee of Zwolle, Tommy Lee, and Buster
Lee, both of Many, and William Lee of Silsbee, Tex.; 19
grandchildren; and 29 great grandchildren.
