Mr. Bill "Junior" Dans, Jr.

  Mr. Bill "Junior" Dans, Jr., died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2000, and was
born Aug. 20, 1939, in Marthaville.

  Funeral services for Bill "Junior" Dans, Jr., 61, were held at
11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 6, at Bethel Congregational Methodist
church, with interment following at Bethel Cemetery. Bro. Brian
Jennings, and Bro. Stanley Davis officiated.

  Survivors include his wife, Bernice Dans of Marthaville; son,
Billy Dans of Marthaville; daughter, Karen Dans Nix, and husband
Curt of Marthaville; two granddaughters, Heather Dans, and Autumn
Dans; four brothers, Jesse Dans of Deweyville, Texas, Thurman
Dans of Buna, Texas, Floyd Dans of Marthaville, and Ronnie Dans
of Texarkana, Texas; and two sisters, Irma Rachal of Keithville,
and Barbara Smith of Charleston, W. Va.

  Pallbearers were C. H. Cheatwood, Gerald Cheatwood, David Free,
DeLayne Jennings, Ernie Constable, Coy Birdwell, Homer Free, and
Billy Wells.

  Honorary pallbearers were Johnny Birdwell, Tobe Alford, Jacky
Nelson, Wayne Jennings, Barnett Durr, Doug Birdwell, and James
Birdwell.
