Clifton (Peanut) Downs (Photo)

  Services for Mr. Clifton (Peanut) Downs, were held at 3 p.m.,
Sunday, November 22, at Florien First Baptist Church. Officiating
were Rev. Mack Brister, Rev. Freddy Hippler, and Rev. Jerry Ford.
Burial was held in Florien Cemetery, under the direction of
Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mr. Downs died Friday, November 20, at 4:42, at Sabine Medical
Center.

  He is survived by his wife, Rose Downs of Florien; two sons,
Dennis Downs, and Donnie Downs of Florien; one daughter, Denise
Fletcher of Hornbeck; mother, Sarah Downs of Florien; three
brothers, Jessie (Cotton) Downs of Fisher, John Edward (Porky)
Downs of Florien, and James Henry Downs of Florien; seven
grandchildren, Daniel Downs, Deana Downs, Douglas Downs, D. J.
Downs, Danee Fletcher, Dustin Fletcher, and Devin Fletcher; two
nieces, Diane Foster, and Debbie Hudson; one nephew, Donald
Downs.
