Virginia Elaine Downs (Photo)

  Funeral services for Virginia Elaine Downs, 46, of Shreveport,
were held Wednesday, September 11, 1996, at 3 p.m., at St.
Joseph's Catholic Church. Officiating was Father Richter.
Interment was at St. Joseph's Catholic Church Cemetery.

  Mrs. Downs was a native of Zwolle, and a resident of Shreveport
for 20 years. She was a plant worker with Lucent Technology,
formerly AT&T. She was Catholic.

  She was preceded in death by her father, James Bebee.

  Survivors include her husband, Ed Downs of Shreveport; mother
Helen Bebee of Zwolle; two sons, James Hickingbottom and wife
Leaza of Monroe, and Brian Hickingbottom and wife Lisa of Camp
Lejeune, N. C.; three stepchildren, David Downs and wife Tina,
Eddie Downs and wife Vicki, and Terry Hopkins and wife Mary, all
of Indianapolis, Ind.; three sisters, Joanne Sepeda, and Gayle
Rivers, both of Zwolle, and Patsy Ebarb of Longview, Tex.; nine
grandchildren, Justin, Brittany, Brandon, Angie, Zachary, Ryan,
Jonas, Jamal, Chris, and Morgan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
