Marvin Brown, and Rev. Robert Graham officiating. Interment was in the Toro Cemetery at Florien. Mr. Daniel, who was a former resident of Westlake, died at 10:05 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 16, in Brookhaven, Miss., of an apparent heart attack. He was retired from the Offshore Co., out of Houston, Tex. Surviving relatives include his wife, Mrs. Myrtle L. Daniel of Hornbeck, La.; two sons, Nickey W. Daniel of Shreveport, and Donald Ray Daniel of Samson, Ala.; one sister, Mrs. Bettie Daniel Roberts of Port Arthur, Tex.; and three granddaughters. Pallbearers were Kenneth Laurence, Keith Laurence, Frankie Laurence, Darrell Franklin, Kerry Durr, and Don Williams. Honorary pallbearers were Nathan Lawrence, Tommy Davis, Monroe Thompson, Don Stokes, Mike Laurence, and James Farris.
