Blanchie Drew

  Mrs. Blanchie Drew, 66, of Negreet, died Sunday, July 22, at
12:30 p.m., at Schumpert Hospital in Shreveport, following a
lengthy illness.

  Survivors of Mrs. Drew include her husband, Jeffery Drew of
Negreet; four sons, Jeffrey B. Drew of Canon, Calif., Otis Drew,
and Eddie Joe Drew, both of Baton Rouge, and Charles Ray Drew of
San Francisco, Calif.; three daughters, Gerri McFarland of San
Francisco, Calif., Jeffrey Mae Puckett of Monroe, and Doris A.
Scott of Many; three sisters, Overia Walsh of Leesville, Louella
Silex of Lake Charles, and Martha Richards of Many; one brother,
Otis Johnson of Many; 29 grandchildren, and 11 great
grandchildren.

  Funeral services will be held today, (Thursday, July 26), at 11
a.m., in the Antioch Baptist Church of Negreet. The Rev. Clarence
Berry will officiate. Burial will be in the Drew Memorial
Cemetery, under the direction of Jenkins Funeral Home of Many.
