John C. Durr

  Services for Mr. John C. Durr, 70, of Marthaville, were held at
3 p.m., Sunday, June 30, at Beulah Methodist Church. Officiating
was the Rev. Foster Jennings. Burial was in Beulah Cemetery in
Marthaville. Services were under the direction of Rockett-Nettles
Funeral Home.

  Mr. Durr was a life long resident of Marthaville. He was
retired. Mr. Durr died Friday, June 28, 1985, after a lengthy
illness.

  Survivors include two daughters, Mary Leo Birdwell of
Marthaville, and Judy Martinez of Shreveport; four sons, Thurman
Durr of Shreveport, Bill Durr of Keithville, Johnny Durr of New
Orleans, and Raleigh Durr of Yuma, Arizona; three sisters, Alice
Bruce of Shreveport, Roberta Moore of Jefferson, Texas, and Joe
Evelyn Newman of Lake Charles; two brothers, Lester and Bert Durr
of Marthaville; 23 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
