Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Dec. 1, at Antioch Baptist Church in Negreet. She was born Nov. 14, 1914, to the late Marion and Mahalia Conely Thompson in the Redland Community. She joined the Redland Baptist Church at an early age, and later moved her membership to the Antioch Baptist Church, under the leadership of the Rev. D. A. Jones. She was an active member until her health failed. She served as treasurer of the Missionary Society. She was married to the late Archie "Jack" Drew Sr., and to this union, 14 children were born. Six preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memory, five daughters, Mrs. Sylvia M. Bolds of Pomona, Calif., Mrs. Frances Jones (Samuel) of San Francisco, Calif., Mrs. Theresa Shannon (Johnny) of San Jose, California, Mrs. Pearlie A. James (Joseph) of new Orleans, and Ms. Betty F. Drew of Negreet; three sons, Mr. Andy Drew Sr. of Negreet, Mr. Archie Drew Jr. of Many, and Mr. Marion T. Drew Sr. (Betty) of Negreet; 29 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
