A native of Noble, Mr. Darby had lived here 25 years. He was the owner of Shreveport Moving and Storage Inc., which he founded, and was a member of Summer Grove Baptist Church. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Troy B. Yopp Sr., and Mrs. Grace Stevens, both of Shreveport; one son, James D. Darby, New Orleans; one brother, Sam Wall, Many; a sister, Mrs. Aubrey Brown, Many; five grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 30, in Osborn Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. J. I. Funderburk, pastor of Summer Grove Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in Centuries Park Cemetery.
