Mattie Wells Dresse

  Mattie Wells Dresse, 96, died Friday, February 15, at Baptist
Hospital - Beaumont. Mrs. Dresse was a native of Alabama, and
former resident of Ft. Jesup, and had been a resident of Beaumont
for 51 years.

  Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, February 17,
at Ft. Jesup Cemetery in Ft. Jesup, under the direction of
Carroll-Wallace Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Jerry
Arthur.

  Mrs. Wells is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, George
and Freda Wells of Beaumont; two brothers, Ed Smith of Groves,
and D. C. Smith of Pasadena; and one grandson, Jerome Lee Wells
of Shreveport.
