"Wally" Derrick Funeral services for Leonard A. "Wally" Derrick, 59, of Ft. Worth, Tex., were held May 2, 1996, at Union Springs Cemetery near Converse, with Rev. Francis Smith officiating, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many. Mr. Derrick passed away at his home in Ft. Worth, Tex., on April 25, 1996, after a lengthy illness. He was a graduate of Many High School, attended L.S.U., and the University of Houston, and also served honorably in the U.S. Air Force. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sheriff D. J. Derrick and Mrs. Derrick; one sister, Alma Jean Derrick Costello; four brothers, D. J. Derrick Jr., Roy Derrick, Huey, and Harold Derrick. Survivors include one sister, Rita Bell Derrick Fuller of Groves, Tex.; and two brothers, George of Buna, Tex., and Billy Derrick of Ft. Worth, Tex. There are a number of other relatives from Sabine parish. Pallbearers were Danny Derrick, Bobby Derrick, Carl A. Derrick, Richard Moore, Todd Moore, and Raiford. Arrangements were conducted by Warren Meadows Funeral Home in Many.
