Darden is survived by his widow, Mrs. Zilfie Darden of Hornbeck; a brother, Arthur Darden, Center, Tex.; two step-sons, Cleveland Rogers, Anacoco; and Ernest Rogers, Iowa; three step-daughters, Pearl Brown, Hornbeck; Ethel Ford, Leesville, and Evelyn Brooks, Sulphur. Darden is also survived by 25 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces. Funeral services were held on Sunday, Jan. 6, at 2 p.m., at the Pleasant View Baptist Church, with the Rev. Leroy James, and the Rev. Dan Robertson officiating. Burial was in the Crystal Springs Cemetery, under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home.
