Mrs. Zilfie E. Darden

  Mrs. Zilfie E. Darden, 80. Of Hornbeck, died at her residence,
Feb. 21, at 4 a.m., after an extended illness.

  Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 23, at 10 a.m., at
the Pleasant View Baptist Church, with the Rev. Leroy James, and
the Rev. Kenneth Baggs officiating. Interment was in the Mitchell
Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  She is survived by two sons, Cleveland Rodgers of Anacoco, and
Earnest Rodgers of Webb, Iowa; three daughters, Mrs. Pearl Brown
of Hornbeck, Mrs. Ethel Ford, and Evelyn Brooks, both of
Leesville, and one step-daughter, Mrs. Virgil Oxley of Mansfield;
one sister, Mrs. Mary Springer of DeRidder; 27 grandchildren, and
16 great grandchildren.
