                       Hazel Bertice Rains Davis    

     Mrs. Hazel Davis passed away Thursday, March 8, 2007, at Angleton Danbury 
Medical Center.  Mrs. Davis was born October 17, 1924, in Pleasanthill, LA, 
and had been a resident of Jones Creek, Texas, for 56 years. She worked for 
the Braxosport ISD for 32 years as a secretary for Stephen F. Austin 
Elementary School and was a member of St. Mary's Star of the Sea Catholic 
Church.

     Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2007, at 
Freeport Funeral Chapel with Deacon Wallace Shaw officiating; interment 
following at Gulf Prairie Presbyterian Cemetery in Jones Creek.
 
     Hazel was preceded in death by her mother Katie Rains; her father, Duroy 
Rains; and her sister, Nadine Rains Thompson.

     She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Francis Davis of Jones Creek, 
TX; her daughters, Dana Kaiser of Huntington, TX, Elizabeth Franks of 
Pflugerville, TX, and Judy Wright of San Antonio, TX; her son, Christopher 
Davis and wife, Regina Davis, of Jones Creek, TX; her eight grandchildren, 
Jason Holder, Jeremy Holder, Stephanie Wright, Jennifer Davis, Larry Davis, 
Erin Davis, Taylor and Logan Strother; and two great-grandchildren, Sydney 
Holder and Hayleigh Holder.
