Interment was in Zion Hill cemetery. Surviving Mrs. Carter are the following children: John Carter, Charlie Carter, Amos Carter, Mrs. Muggins Anthony and Mrs. C. D. Hayes, age 82 years, were held last Thursday evening at 2 o'clock at the Warren church, Rev. J. D. Scott and Rev. W. G. Bailey officiating, Dennis-Green funeral home directing, interment Warren cemetery. Surviving are 10 children; six sons, Doss of Many, George of Urania, Sid of Many, I. D. of Winnfield, M. T. and R. B. of Many; four daughters, Mrs. Amanda Campbell of Many, Mrs. Lela Miller of Houston, Texas, Mrs. Ross Strickland of Slagle, Mrs. Willie Mae Robinson of Many; one brother, M. T. Royston, age 81 years, were held Monday evening at 2 o'clock at the First Baptist church, Rev. Oliver Roberts, Provencal, and Rev. C. W. Williams officiating, Dennis-Green funeral home directing, interment Fort Jesup cemetery. Pallbearers: J. W. Lucius, Rupert Lucius, T. M. Phillips, Eugene Dees, Robert Jackson, E. E. Smith, Many, and Walter and Hoyt Royston, Leesville. Surviving are nephews and nieces, seven nephews, C. S., R. N., J. E., L. H., and Walter Royston of Natchitoches, Jim Hendrix of Fordoche, Lester Posey of Natchitoches; one niece, Mrs. LeRoy Hix of Natchez. Mr. Royston was seriously burned in a gas explosion at the home of Mrs. Rueben Goodman Sunday and died a short time later at Fraser sanitarium. ***************************************************************** Obituaries: Melvin E. Turner, age 68 years, were held Monday at 10 o'clock at Sibley with Rev. A. B. Odom, pastor of the Beech Springs Baptist Church, officiating, assisted by Rev. C. W. Williams of Many. Interment was in the Sibley cemetery. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Ella Belle Turner, Sibley; four daughter, Mrs. Webb W. Beck of Sibley, Mrs. Bernard C. Marshall of Monroe, Mrs. Hart Hooper of Sibley and Mrs. J. H. Reeves of Many; one son, L. B.
