Latham, 69, former resident of Shreveport died at Cincinnati, Ohio, Dec. 9. Funeral services were held at the Benge funeral home in Shreveport at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Interment was in Forest Park cemetery. Surviving are his widow: Mrs. Genie Peters Latham, three daughters, Misses Joy, Mary and Ruby Latham, and a son, Sgt. William Latham of the mechanized calvary of the U. S. army. Mr. Latham is the brother-in-law of Mrs. R. A. Fraser of Many and has a number of other relatives near Many. Funeral services were at three o'clock Sunday afternoon at Calvary Baptist church, the Revs. Scott and Bolton officiating. Remains were laid to rest in the Fenders cemetery, near Many, under the direction of Dennis-Green funeral home. Surviving relatives are his father, G. L. Ross of Little Rock, Ark.; two brothers, B. R. and Eugene Ross of Many; one sister, Mrs. H. P. Kemp, Houston, Texas. Pallbearers were Reuben Peterson, W. R. Carmel. Rev. A. D. Ashby of Blanchard officiated, assisted by Rev. H. T. Young and Rev. Newcomb. Interment was in Mt. Carmel cemetery, Dennis-Green funeral home in charge. Pallbearers were grandsons, Monroe Skinner, Roy Skinner, Vandy Pentecost, Troy Thaxton, Leon Thaxton and Jeff Skinner. Surviving are six sons, Robert, Andy and Rollie of Robeline, Cleveland, Clarence and Claude of Florien; three daughters, Mrs. Bell Skinner, Mrs. Josie Pentecost and Mrs. R. Thaxton, Florien; 55 grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Josephine Goodwin of Anacoco.
