Services were held at Union Baptist Church of Belmont on Friday, Dec. 27, at 10 a.m., with the Rev. J. P. King officiating. Burial was in the Belmont Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Madgie Eaves of Belmont; 3 sons, Robert and Gladen Eaves of Belmont, and Billy E. Eaves of South America; one daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Wilkerson of Natchitoches; mother, Mrs. Ura Eaves of Belmont; one brother, Dewey Eaves of Monroe; 3 sisters, Mrs. Loraine Russell of Zwolle, Mrs. Lizzie Landrum of Natchitoches, and Mrs. Evone Austin of Many; and 9 grandchildren. Palbearers were Jerry Salter, Zane Salter, Jimmy Peterson, Charles Russell, Huey Austin, and Wade Wilkerson.
