Mr. Doyal L. Eaves

  Mr. Doyal L. Eaves, 76, of New Boston, Texas, died Tuesday, May
29, 2001, at a Texarkana hospital.

  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, May 31, at First
Baptist Church, with interment following at Daniels Chapel
Cemetery. The Rev. Frank Boutwell, and the Rev. Tip Brian
officiated. Services were under the direction of Bates-Rolf
Funeral Home.

  Mr. Eaves was a former business owner of the Western Discount
Store for 25 years, and owner of Eaves Used Cars and RV Park. He
served as chairman of the New Boston Pioneer Days for 16 years.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.

  Survivors include his wife, Mary Eaves of New Boston, Texas; two
daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and Mike Harmon, and Jan and Jose
Martinez, all of New Boston, Texas; four grandchildren, Amy
Johnson, Jeremy Harmon, Hillary Martinez, and Drew Harmon; one
brother, Wendell Eaves of Beaumont, Texas; one sister, Nell
Durbin of Beaumont, Texas; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Eaves was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Janie
Eaves; and brother, Huey Eaves.
