The Sabine Index - R. D. Evans

  July 5, 1973

  Funeral services were held for R. D. Evans, 92, of Florien 4
p.m. Saturday, June 30 at the Clearwater Baptist Church. The Rev.
Elwood Airhart officiated. Burial Followed in the Clearwater
Cemetery.

  Mr. Evans died Friday, June 29 following an extended illness.

  He is survived by his son, Grover Evans of Lufkin, Tex.; three
daughters, Mrs. Audie Jones and Mrs. Bertha Holt of Florien and
Mrs., Vera Johnson of Orange, Tex.; 16 grandchildren and two
great grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were Mr. Evans' grandsons.
