Mrs. Mae Evans

  Mrs. Mae Evans, 79, died in Jasper, Tex. Tuesday, April 13, at
6:15 p.m., after an extended illness.

  Funeral services were held in the Warren Meadows Chapel Friday,
April 16, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Pierce officiating. Burial was
in the Clearwater Cenetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows
Funeral Home.

  Surviving relatives include four daughters, Maggie Lee Montz of
Beaumont, Eva Tate of Pineland, Mrs. Opal Bowman of Gladewater,
and Mrs. Myrtle Speight of Bronson; 17 grandchildren, 25 great
grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were the grandsons, Winston Tate, Dan Tate, Glen
Tate, Steve Speight, Wallace Speight, and Larry Speight.
