Virgie S. Evans

  Services for Mrs. Virgie S. Evans, 73, of Converse, were held at
2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 24, at the Drewett Memorial Chapel in
Mansfield. The Rev. Presley Marcantel, and Rev. G. L. Burr
officiated. Burial was in Pollard Cemetery near Mansfield.

  Mrs. Evans died Friday, Jan. 22, at the DeSoto General Hospital
in Mansfield, after a lengthy illness.

  She is survived by two brothers, Mrs. Coyt Smith of Port Arthur,
Tex., and Mr. Clayton English of Converse; and one sister, Mrs.
Annis E. Boyt of Mansfield, La.
