Mr. Lynn Edward Evans

  Mr. Lynn Edward Evans, 53, of Hornbeck, died Saturday, Sept. 30,
2000, at his residence. He was born April 29, 1947.

  Funeral services were held at 3 p.m., Monday, Oct. 2, at First
Baptist Church of Hornbeck, with interment following at Pisgah
Cemetery, Ward 2. The Rev. James Roy Flanagan, the Rev. Jerry
Key, and the Rev. Donald Spears officiated.

  Survivors include his widow, Barbara Cabra Evans of Hornbeck;
two daughters, Jenni and husband Jody Browning of Hornbeck, and
Julianne and husband Caroll Corley of Florien; one son, Jeffrey
and wife Lesley Evans of Many; two grandchildren, Braley and
Rilee Browning; one brother, Benny Evans of Hornbeck; two
sisters, Mary Ann Moats of Hornbeck, and Shirley Shackleford of
Garland, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, and a special
friend.

  Mr. Evans was preceded in death by his father, Hayden J. Evans;
mother, Annie B. Evans; and three brothers, Billy J. Evans,
Haywood J. Evans, and Carlton H. Evans.
