The Rev. Joe Ratcliff officiated. Burial followed in the Springhill Cemetery. Mrs. Evans, a native of Sabine Parish, and a former resident of Sarepta for 46 years, passed away Sunday, Oct. 8, in Many, where she has made her home for six years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Many. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Evans on Dec. 12, 1982. She is survived by one brother, J. E. Gilmore of Vidor, Texas; two nieces, Marie Adams, and Norma Adams, both of Many; and five nephews. Pallbearers were W. D. Maynor Delbert Fuller, Guy Edwards, Bob Adams, Wayne Adams, and Gregg Adams.
