Clarence "Roy" Evans

  Funeral services for Mr. Clarence "Roy" Evans, 88, of Florien,
were held Friday, November 23, at 3 p.m., at the Pisgah Baptist
Church. Interment followed in the Clearwater Cemetery, under the
direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Rev. F. M. Belsha, and
Rev. W. T. Love officiated the services.

  Mr. Evans passed away at the Sabine Medical Center in Many, on
Wednesday, Nov. 21.

  He is survived by his wife, Lola Travis Evans of Florien; four
sons, Ernest Evans of Montgomery, Texas, Earl Evans of New Caney,
Texas, Travis Evans, and Carl Evans, both of Florien; one
daughter, Ernestine Theiler of Florien; two sisters, Lea Miers
Cryer of Anacoco, and Lizzie Miers of Florien; one uncle, Lonnie
Busby of Hemphill, Texas; one cousin, Troy Evans of Florien;
fourteen grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and a host of
nieces and nephews.

  Mr. Evans is preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Mattie
Busby Evans; and one son, Hardy B. "Buddy" Evans.
