Officiating was the Rev. F. M. Belsha. Mr. Evans died Sunday, September 17, 1995, in Trinity Memorial Hospital. Mr. Evans was born July 11, 1927, in Hemphill, Texas, to Lola Travis and Clarence "Roy" Evans. He was a veteran of World War II, and was a heavy equipment operator. Mr. Evans was preceded in death by his father, Roy Evans; and brother, Hardy "Buddy" Evans. Survivors include his wife, Peggy C. Evans of Trinity; one son, Billy Don Evans of Many; mother, Lola Evans of Many; one sister, Ernestine Thesler of Florien; three brothers, Earl K. Evans of New Caney, Texas, Travis Leroy Evans of Florien, and Carl Evans of Florien; and a host of nieces and nephews.
