A native of Zwolle, he had lived in Shreveport for the past 17 years. He was employed by Standard Wood Preservers of Shreveport, and had been in the timber business most of his life. Survivors include his wife, Florence H. Ebarb; his mother, Mrs. Martha Ebarb of Zwolle and Longview, Tex.; one son, Virgil Howard (Butch) Ebarb of Shreveport; three daughters, Miss Thelma Jean Ebarb, Mrs. David Daniels, and Mrs. Joe Leone, all of Shreveport; five brothers, Henry Webb of Zwolle, Glenn Ebarb, and James (Bobby) Ebarb, both of Shreveport; three sisters, Mrs. R. H. Carpenter of Shreveport, Mrs. Roy Paddie of Longview, Tex., and Mrs. Peyton Matthews of Many; and six grandchildren.
