All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** The Sabine Index - August 30, 1973 Mrs. Martha Ebarb Funeral mass for Mrs. Martha Ebarb, 80, of Shreveport was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Zwolle with Rev. Monsignor Robert C. Friend officiating. A Rosary was said at 7:30 p.m. at Osborn Funeral Home with Monsignor T. J. Lennon, pastor of St. John's Catholic of Many, officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph Church Cemetery in Many. Mrs. Ebarb was a native of Sabine Parish and had lived in Shreveport for more than three years, until her death at 10 a.m. Thursday after a long illness. Mrs. Ebarb was the widow of the late Marcelene Ebarb, a timber operator from Zwolle, and was active in St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Zwolle before moving to Shreveport. She is survived by five sons, Eldon Ebarb and James (Bobby) Ebarb, both of Shreveport, Elmer Ebarb of Copperas Cove, Tex., Henry Ebarb of Zwolle and Glendel Ebarb of Vinton; three daughters, Mrs. Peyton Matthews of Many, Mrs. Roy Paddie of Longview, Tex. and Mrs. Raymond Carpenter of Shreveport; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
