All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Mrs. Paul Ebarb Funeral services for Mrs. Florence Ferguson Ebarb, 78, of Zwolle, were held at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Zwolle on Monday, Dec. 22, with Monsignor Matthew Scanlon of Zwolle, and Monsignor Geroge Martinez of St. Matthew of Monroe officiating. Burial was in the St. Joseph's Cemetery, under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mrs. Ebarb died suddenly at her home on Saturday, Dec. 20, at 8:30 a.m. She was the widow of the late Paul Ebarb, and the daughter of the late John Ferguson, and Josephine Sepulvado. A lifelong resident of Zwolle, she was born on August 14, 1902. She was a member of the Ladies Altar Society of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, the American Legion Auxiliary, and twice named a Gold Star Mother; and a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies' Auxiliary. She has always been an active worker in her church, and in local civic activities. A rosary was said for Mrs. Ebarb in the Warren Meadows Funeral Chapel at 7 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 21. She was preceded in death by three sons, Ensign Jesse Patrick Ebarb, Paul Fredrick Ebarb, and Private Joseph Donald Ebarb. She is survived by six daughters, Ruth Loupe, Kathryn Boudreaux, and Vivian Ebarb, all of Zwolle. Theo Ezernack of Natchitoches, Polly Moyer of Baton Rouge, and Frances Bybee of Albuquerque, New Mexico; eight brothers, Murry Ferguson of Baton Rouge, Eugene Ferguson of Bearden, Fla., John H. Ferguson of Fallchurch, Va., George E. Ferguson of Hattiesburg, Miss., James Ferguson of Slidell, J. Roland Ferguson of Richmond, Tex., Jesse P. Ferguson of New Orleans, and Michael W. Ferguson of Norman, Okla.; three sisters, Lola Castillo of Lake Charles, Louise Flanders of New Orleans, and Molly Ferguson of Kenner; a stepmother, Inez Ferguson of Kenner; seventeen grandchildren, and eighteen great grandchildren. Pallbearers were her grandsons.
