Ebarb, 85, was held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, March 11, 1997, at the Wellman Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Shelton Young, pastor of Faith Tabernacle Church, officiated. Interment was at the Richie Evans Memorial Cemetery in Vivian. Mr. Ebarb died Sunday, March 9, 1997, at Schumpert Medical Center, after a long illness. He was born in Noble, and had been a resident of Shreveport for the past 65 years. He was retired as Chief Maintenance Engineer for Schumpert Medical Center, was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, and was a member of the American Legion. Mr. Ebarb was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Ebarb. He is survived by two sons, Winston Ebarb (wife Doris) of Shreveport, and Mike Ebarb (wife Debbie) of Pineville; two daughters, Marilyn Bourdene (husband Bob) of Dallas, Texas; and Sister Mary Nell Harding of Jonesboro, Ark.; one sister, Winnie Webb of Noble; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Phillip Ebarb, Lance Lopez, Jason Reeves, Larry Hair, Chad Hebert, and Al Turner.
