After school, he died after a brave battle with heart disease and complications from kidney failure. He passed away at Schumpert Medical Center. Mr. Ebarb was born May 18, 1931, in Ebarb. He was a 1948 honor graduate of Ebarb High School He served four years in the U. S. Army, and fought in the Korean War. Murry attended Sabine Valley Vo-Tech, and received a degree in business. He was employed for 12 years at Standard Supply in Lake Charles as a purchasing clerk, and 19 years with Kilpatrick Life Insurance Co. of Shreveport as an Insurance Agent. Survivors include his loving widow of 42 years, Emma Jean Ebarb; five devoted children; one son, Dagel Ebarb; four daughters and sons-in-law, Freda Ebarb and husband Terry Joe, Anita Manshack and husband Randle, Karla Sepulvado and husband John Cecil; four adoring grandchildren, Sheldon Ebarb, Bridget Ebarb, Scottie Ebarb, and Kenny Manshack; one precious great grandchild, Tristen Kyle Ebarb; two brothers, T. J. Ebarb and Joseph Lee "Seba" Ebarb; two sisters, Lena Ruiloba and Polly Chamberlin; mother-in-law, Sylvia Procell; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Ebarb was preceded in death by his mother, Florence P. Ebarb. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 28, at 3 p.m., at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Ebarb, with interment following at St. Ann's Cemetery. Rosary was held Monday, Oct. 27, at 7 p.m., at Les Fontaine Funeral Home. Officiating priests were Monsignor Norman Buvens, Father Kenneth Williams, Father Richard Lombard, and Father David Richter. Pallbearers were Sammy Procell, Walter Meshell Jr., Edwin Ezernack, Doyle Henry, Gerald Procell, Wesley Martinez Jr., Robin Rivers, and Henry Rivers. Honorary pallbearers were Earnest Paddie, O. V. "Tiny" Ebarb, Rogers P. Loupe, and Raymond L. Ebarb. The family takes consolation in the fact that his suffering and pain on this earth will be no more. Les Fontaine, Many, La.
