Ebarb A 76 year old West Monroe man was dead on arrival at St. Francis Hospital, after being suddenly stricken at St. Paschal's Catholic Church about 2:30 p.m., Monday. Dr. J. T. French, corner, attributed the death of Henry S. Ebarb to a heart condition. Mr. Ebarb was stricken at the door of St. Paschal's Church, while attending an afternoon church function. Residing at 709 Stella, Mr. Ebarb had lived in West Monroe for the past six years, after moving to Monroe from Zwolle, as a retired planter. Mr. Ebarb was a member of St. Paschal's Catholic Church, and also a member of the Holy Name Society. Funeral services for Mr. Ebarb were held at St. Paschal's Catholic Church at 11 a.m., Wednesday, with a Requiem Mass, Father Vitus officiated. Interment was in St. Paschal's Cemetery, under the direction of the Mulhearn Funeral Home. A rosary service was held Tuesday night at the funeral home chapel. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Fannie Ebarb, West Monroe; one daughter, Mrs. R. L. Counts, West Monroe; four sons, Paul Ebarb, Salt Lake City, Ut., Wilbert Ebarb, Oakland, Calif., Mitchell Ebarb, West Monroe, and Johnnie Ebarb, Shreveport; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Nigreville, Pineville, Mrs. Josephine Malmay, Mrs. Dorothy Bison, and Mrs. Evelyn Ezernack, all of Zwolle; five brothers, Abram Ebarb, Mansfield, Willis Ebarb, Homer, Simon Ebarb, Zwolle, George, and Tommie Ebarb, both of Shreveport; ten grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Holy Name members, Robert W. Fowlkes, Joseph Marzula, Vorie Lyons, Adam Priou, James Coyle, and Norman Many.
