All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Darlyn Marie Efferson Memorial services for Mrs. Darlyn Marie Efferson, 50, of Fort Worth, Texas, were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 6, 1996, at Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base Carswell Chapel. Mrs. Efferson was an artist and homemaker. She died Thursday, Feb. 1, at her residence. She was born Dec. 27, 1945, in Baton Rouge. Mrs. Efferson was a graduate of Istrouma High School, and attended North Texas State University, and the University of Texas at Arlington, and received an Associated Degree from Tarrant County Junior College. She served on the committee to develop the Air Force Reserve family readiness program, and was selected by the chief of the Air Force Reserve, to help with the needs that were identified during Operation Desert Storm. Some of her art was displayed in Fort Worth area galleries, and for 12 years, she donated many of her works to the Artist Christmas, a charity auction that supports Camp Fire Girls in the Fort Worth area. Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Col. Bobby Lee Efferson, Commander, 301st Fighter Wing, Fort Worth, and Joint Reserve Base Carswell Field; two sons, Michael Ernest Efferson; parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Curry of Florien; three brothers, Wade Curry of Scottsdale, Ariz., Dale Curry of Tyler, Texas, and Michael Curry of Florien; one sister, Sandy Gail Hutchison of Lafayette; and nieces and nephews.
