Escott, 70, of Maitland, Fla., a former Shreveport resident, were at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 17, in St. John Berchmans Cathedral, with the Rev. F. B. Ponder officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph's Cemetery, under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home's Marshall Street Chapel. A retired furniture refinisher, Mr. Escott died Thursday, Jan. 12. Survivors include sons, Joseph Escott of Zwolle, Arthur M. Escott, of St. Bernard, and Richard E. Escott of Houston, Texas; daughters, Mrs. Anita M. Fekany of Maitland, and Mrs. Rose A. Plumb of Houston; sisters, Mrs. Josephine Ruiz and Mrs. Angelina Malancon, both of Lafayette, Mrs. Mary Medallin of Shreveport, Mrs. Carmen Jamison of Marrero, Mrs. Margaret Vincent of North Little Rock, Ark., and Mrs. Dolores Guerrero of Lakewood, Ohio; and 18 grandchildren. Pallbearers were James P. Plumb Jr., Joseph G. Escott, James P. Plumb Sr., Chris R. Escott, Rudy Medallin, and Clarence Jamison.
