Mrs. Eason, originally of Goldonna, La., has resided in Many since 1936. Mrs. Eason was a charter member of the original United Pentecostal Church in Many, since the early 1930's. She served the church in many capacities over the years, such as Sunday School Teacher, Youth Leader, Song Leader, and Ladies Auxiliary. Walea, who was out of the country, Rev. Garland Simmons, assistant pastor, organized and assisted in the service. Rev. James Stringer, Rev. Titus Pruitt, and Rev. Howard Pennington, all of whom were her Sunday School students as young men, offered bits of history of her meaningful role as their teacher, and how it affected their personal life. Rev. Lonnie Johnson of DeQuincy, and Rev. W. H. Owens of Rosepine, spoke as former pastors, bringing forth words of comfort to family and friends. Mrs. Betty Davis read "Just Let It Unfold", a favorite poem of Mrs. Eason's. Mrs. Sandra White Sang "The Eastern Gate", and "One Day at a Time". Mrs. Eason is survived by her husband of 56 years, Frank D. Eason of Many. She had one daughter, Eva Jo Broussard, and son-in-law, Jack A. Broussard of Pine Prairie. She had five grandchildren, Amy, Danny, Morgan, Kristi, and Jeff of Pine Prairie. Burial was in the Many Cemetery.
