The Sabine Index - Iris Dean Eckert

  7 Aug 1967 - Mrs Iris Dean (Salter) Eckert, 58, of San
Antonio, Tex. died Monday, Aug. 7 in San Antonio. Though a San
Antonio resident for 39 years, Mrs. Eckert is a native of
Negreet.

  Funeral services were conducted Thursday, Aug. 10, in Mission
Park Funeral Chapel with the Rev. James E. Folts officiating.
Interment was in the Mission Burial Park. Rather than usual
remembrance family suggests contributions be made to American
Cancer Society or American Heart Association.

  Survivors include her husband, George Frank Eckert of San
Antonio; two daughters, Mrs. Laura Ann Folts of San Antonio and
Mrs. Beverly Jayne Ellzey of Little Rock, Ark.; four sisters,
Mrs. Roma Jewel Gandy and Mrs. Marie White, both of West Monroe,
Mrs. Emma Childress of Houston, Tex. and Mrs. Effie Wright of
Corpus Christi, Tex.; one brother, J. S. Salter of Negreet and
five grandchildren.
