"Woody" Ezernack Funeral services for Michael W. "Woody" Ezernack, 48, of Zwolle, were held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Dec. 11, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Zwolle. Father David Richter officiated. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mr. Ezernack died Friday, Dec. 8, at the Sabine Medical Center in Many. Woody was born in Zwolle on March 29, 1947, to Claudia Etheridge and Tom Ezernack. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Leadell Campbell; and by two brothers, James and Thomas Ezernack. Woody was a veteran of the Vietnam War, and was a hauling contractor in the timber industry. Military graveside honors will be performed by the Sabine Chapter of the Disabled American Veterans. Visitation was held on Dec. 10, at the Warren Meadows Funeral Home in Zwolle. A Rosary service was held, with a prayer vigil that followed. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Barbara Remedies Ezernack of Zwolle; two children, Wendy Ebarb and husband Pat, and Grady Ezernack and wife Effie, all of Zwolle; one sister, Loree Estes of Shreveport; six brothers, Robert Ezernack of Kountze, Tex., Joe Ezernack of Hemphill, Tex., Wayne Ezernack of Noble, Rudolph Ezernack, John D. Ezernack, and Melvin Ezernack, all of Zwolle; six grandchildren, Matthew, Elyssa, and Jessica Ebarb, and Treyton, Paige, and Jacob Ezernack. There was also a host of nieces, and nephews, and close friends. Pallbearers were Bobby Remedies, Benny Remedies, Danny Remedies, Dennis Remedies, Doug Remedies, and Donald Remedies.
