All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Mrs. Lila Adele Edgell Mrs. Lila Adele Edgell, 75, died Thursday Dec. 9, 1999 at Lagniappe Hospital after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Edgell was born July 16, 1924 in Converse. After a 20 year career as an armed services spouse she made her home once again in Converse. She was an active member in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints an served the Lord with all her heart. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, 1999 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Many with interment following at Converse Cemetery. The Rev. Glen Hardy and the Rev. Stan Hayes officiated. Special music was by Brodie Barber. Survivors include two sons, Norman R. Edgell of Elizabeth, Colo. and James Edgell and wife Lori of Jackson, Miss.; two daughters, Joan Austin and husband Larry of Converse, and Alma Fulco and husband Raymond of Keatchie; one brother, Dean Myers of Richland Miss.; one sister, Odema Richardson of Pioneer; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Edgell was preceded in death by her husband O'Day H. Edgell. Pallbearers were Rodney Austin, Alan Austin, Stoney Raybon, Sheldon Edgell, Andy Lum and Stan Edgell. Honorary pallbearers were Adam Edgell and Matt Edgell. The family would like to express a special thanks to the doctors and medical staff at Lagniappe Hospital for their compassion and care.
