The Sabine Index - J. Frank Edwards

  7 Sep 1934 - J. Frank Edwards, age 77, died at the family home
near Noble last Thursday, having been ill for only a few days.

  Mr. Edwards was a pioneer of the Noble community having moved
there fifty-five years ago.

  He was the father of E. L. Edwards, Sheriff of Sabine parish.

  Funeral services were held at the old family home last Friday
at 3 p.m., conducted by Rev. A. G. Kidd.

  The pallbearers were his six sons.  Surviving him are eight
children, six son and two daughters.  They are L. G., J.
Clarence, Zebe and Clyde E. of Noble; George W. of San Marcus,
Texas, Eustace L. of Many, Mrs. Lillian Tooke of Gandy and Mrs.
Lena Whitley of Shreveport.
