Edwards, 86, of Shreveport, were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, September 19, 1995, at Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel in Many. Rev. Norman Sutton, and Rev. Kenneth Leach Sr. officiated. Burial was in Beulah Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many. Mr. Edwards died Saturday, Sept. 16, 1995, at the Glen Retirement Nursing Home, following a lengthy illness. He had been a resident of Shreveport for 4 years, and lived in Sabine Parish for 15 years. He was currently a member of Broadmoor Baptist Church, Shreveport, and a member of Gideons International since 1957. He had a law degree from Sanford Law School from Cumberland, Tenn., now in Atlanta, Ga. He is survived by his wife, Alma of Shreveport; a daughter, Carolyn Griffith and her husband Darrel of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a son, Thomas O. Edwards and his wife Kathy of Denver, Colo.; two sisters, Opal McClain of Easton, Pa., and Marie Bradwell and her husband Thomas of San Antonio, Texas; two brothers, Dwight Edwards and his wife Wilma of St. James, Mo., and Orin Edwards of Mountain View, Mo.; six grandchildren, Edward, James, Constance?, John Griffith, and Michael?, Xonia Edwards; and seven great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Jim Griffith, Ed Griffith, Jim Hembre, Jack Hembre, Danny Derrick, Oscar Ross, and Richard Moore.
