Survivors include a son, William Ance Ellzey of Florien; eight daughters, Mrs. Elaine Masters of Springhill, Mrs. Maxine Chance of Serepta, Mrs. Lois San Miguel of Hornbeck, Mrs. Beatrice Chance of Many, Mrs. Johnnie Mae Chance of Westlake, Mrs. Pearlie Sandel of Lufkin, Mrs. Jewel Brown of Florien, and Mrs. Gladys Ashby of Blanchard; two brothers, Calvin Thaxton of Florien, and Harvey Thaxton of Baytown, Tex.; 43 grandchildren, 63 great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Friday, in the Cenchrea Church of the Nazarene, with the Rev. J. V. Taylor officiating, assisted by the Rev. Lawrence Cockrell. Burial was in the Toro Cemetery, under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many. Pallbearers were her grandchildren, Dale Ellzey, John San Miguel, Jimmy Chance, Harlon Chance, James Ashby, and Kenneth Sandel.
