The Sabine Index - John W. Elzey

  20 Nov 1969 - Funeral services were held Nov. 15 for John W.
Elzey, 80, at Toro Baptist Church with the Rev. Glen Flenniken
and the Rev. Jim Owens officiating. Burial was in the Toro
Cemetery under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of
Many. He died at his residence Nov. 13 after an extended illness.

  Surviving relatives include his wife, Mrs. Audrey Ellzey of
Plainview; nine sons, J. L. of Gatesville, Tex., W. M. of San
Francisco, Calif., J. H. of Beaumont, Tex., Kay of Security,
Colo., Carroll and Charles Ellzey of Shreveport, Victor, Teddy
and Bryce all of Hornbeck; a daughter, Mrs. J. R. Jones of
Hornbeck; a brothers, S. F. Ellzey of Many; three sisters Mrs.
Lizzie Dowden of Anacoco, Mrs. Alda Watts of Natchitoches and
Mrs. Henry Isgitt of Converse; 20 grandchildren and nine great
grandchildren.
