Ambose Ellzey 25 Oct 1929 - Monday, just before noon, Rev. Ambose Ellzey succumbed almost immediately after a pile had pinned his brest to a fence post near Mt. Carmel. Rev. Ellzey was riding a truck loaded with piling and it seems that his lunch bucket was slipping as the truck rounded a corner to go thru a gate, the minister was riding a top of the piling and as the bucket slipped he reached for it and was swung off his seat between the pile and the gate post. The truck was being driven by a Mr. Coburn of the Mt. Carmel community, who immediately called for help but the time the piling was removed the preacher has expired. Funeral services were conducted at Mt. Carmel by Rev. H. T. Isgitt Tuesday amid a large congregation of friends and admirers. Deceased was a minister of the Nazarene faith, was well known in Sabine parish as an apostle of his creed, was a devout and conscientious teacher, living by example of his teachings.
