Ambrose Ellzey of Florien, La., was born April 13, 1883, and departed this life October 21, 1929, being killed by a truck, dieing instantly. He was 46 years, 6 months and eight days old. On November 23, 1905, he was married to Miss Lula Thaxton, with whom he lived consistently until his death. To this union were born eleven children, three boys and eight girls, though one boy preceded him to the Glory World. He united with the Missionary Baptist church and entered the ministry while a young man and after having preached for about nine years in the aforesaid church he was led into the blessed experience of Perfect Love, which doctrine and experiences he faithfully advocated by precept and example till he was called home. His prayers, tears, and money had great part in the building of Cenchrea Church of The Nazarene in which church he was an elder when he died. To say that he will be missed by his devoted family and many friends is saying it too mildly for truly he was a good husband, father, citizen and preacher. His funeral was one of the saddest ever attended by his winter being attended by a very large crowd of loved ones and sympathetic friends.
