  Robert Montayne Ellzey

  Mr. Robert Montayne Ellzey, 75, of Converse, died of sudden
illness July 27, 1988 at his residence.

  Masonic graveside services were held in Old Union Cemetery near
Benson, La. on Sat. July 30, 1988 under the direction of
Rose-Neath Funeral Home of Mansfield.

  Mr. Ellzey had retired from Gulf Oil Company where he worked in
the Southern part of Louisiana. He was a Baptist, and had lived
in Converse for the past eight years and before moving to
Converse was the owner of Bob's Marina below Many. He was also a
32nd Degree Mason.

  Survivors include his wife, Annie Bell Ellzey of Converse and
several nieces and nephews.
