Funeral services were held in the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Tuesday, March 22, at 2 p.m. burial was in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. The Rev. Troy Wheeler will officiate. Survivors include his widow; three daughters, Mrs. Madge Ellzey of Natchitoches, Mrs. Melba Caaicotte of Natchitoches, and Mrs. Opal Brown of Many; two sons, O. W. Ellzey of Sarepta, and Ralph Ellzey of Marthaville; two brothers, J. W. Ellzey, and S. F. Ellzey, both of Plainview; three sisters, Mrs. Alda Watts of Natchitoches, Mrs. Everett Isgitt of Converse, and Mrs. Lizzie Dowden of Anacoco; 12 grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Pallbearers were F. W. Robertson, Tommy Dunnigan, Melvin Sparks, Leo ?, Rollie Sandel, and Hoyt Reed.
