Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 3, in Rose-Neath Funeral Home's Bossier Chapel, with the Rev. Ben Jordan, pastor of the Hill Crest Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in the Hill Crest Cemetery. The Zwolle native had lived in Haughton 15 years. She was a retired registered nurse, with Louisiana Civil Service and Confederate Memorial Medical Center (now LSU Hospital). Mrs. Elliott was a member of the Hill Crest Baptist Church, and the Louisiana State Nursing association. Survivors include her mother, Lilly Brook of Zwolle; a son, Mike Elliott of Shreveport; two daughters, Sharlotte Broussard of Shreveport, and Sandy Mize of Atlanta, Ga.; three sisters, Lurlene Williams of Willis, Texas, and Bell Ezernack, and Eloise Babbitt, both of Cleveland, Texas; and two brothers, Leonard Brook of Shreveport, and Sidney Campbell of Zwolle. Pallbearers were Gene Hazel, John R. Lindsey, Jack Mouser, Jim Faughn, A. B. Overall, Mike Harris, Clarence Ybos, and Owen Bass. The family requests that any memorial contributions be made to Schumpert Medical center's pulmonary research fund, in Mrs. Elliott's name.
