She was a longtime resident of Robeline. She was predeceased by her husband, William Hale Elliott; parents, Joseph Albert and Bertha Nails Hesser; sister and brother-in-law, Bertha Lee and Roy Hughes; brothers, Virgil, and Willard Anthony Hesser; daughter, Billie E. Lafitte; and a granddaughter, Laurie Gem Lafitte. She is survived by a daughter, Fon Anderson of Savannah, Ga.; and seven grandchildren, William D. Billard of Charleston, S. Carolina, Major Robert D. Billard, USMC, of New Orleans, Gina Anderson of Savannah, Ga., Tim N. Lafitte of Brazoria, Tex., Edwin K. Lafitte of Robeline, Lisa L. Hymel of Baton Rouge, Melanie L. Roark of New Orleans; and nine great grandchildren. Services were at 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 1, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Officiating was Father Larry Niehoff, pastor of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial was at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home of Mansfield.
